Genuine Toner Cartridges Vs Compatible

Genuine Toner Cartridges Vs Compatible

False Savings
Whilst there can be substantial savings with generic or compatible toner cartridges, sometimes there can be a false saving. This is common where a printer or multifunction device has a separate drum, that is, not built into the toner cartridge. In the case of many colour printers there is often an imaging belt also. Often compatible toner is made from abrasive substances that scratch the drum and shorten the life of the drum and/or imaging belt.

Technology Advantages
Genuine Toner Cartridges are generally engineered with small, round, polymerised particles, which results in lower fusing temperatures to reduce energy consumption and at the same time produce business quality documents. Quality is particularly noticeable in the case of compatible colour toner cartridges.

Transparency of Costs For Your Business
Total clarity on the Total Cost of Ownership of your devices means you can better manage and control your operating costs. Genuine Toner Cartridge Yields are calculated in accordance to industry testing standards ISO/IEC 19752 and ISO/IEC 19798 which provides your home or business with transparency on running costs and output volumes of the cartridge.

How to Buy a Laser Printer

How to Buy a Laser Printer – the RIGHT one for your needs. You first need to analyse your usage. Then you need to know two types of toner cartridge systems.

Either the drum (imaging unit) is built into the toner cartridge OR the drum is a separate component that takes a separate toner cartridge.

Whilst it can be cheaper to a buy toner cartridge for a laser printer with a separate drum, it can be expensive to replace the drum when it comes due, especially if that happens after only a few months. This is where most buyers go wrong as the drum is a consumable like the toner cartridge and not often covered by the printer (machine) warranty.

Higher usage users, often find it better to buy a laser printer that uses a toner cartridge with the drum built-in. These machines can work out cheaper to run in the long term.

Low usage users may find it cheaper to buy a small laser printer with a separate drum and separate toner cartridge and then buy a new printer when the drum needs to be replaced.

How to Buy an INK Printer

How to Buy an Ink Printer

How to Buy an INK Printer – the RIGHT one for your needs. You first need to analyse your usage. Then you need to know two types of ink cartridge systems.

Either the print head is a separate component that takes separate individual ink tank cartridges – one for each colour OR the print head is built into the ink cartridge – the colour ink cartridge usually has three colours in one cartridge and there will be a separate black ink cartridge.

The rule of thumb here is that lack of use can see the print head dry out and become blocked with dry ink.

Low usage users, often find it better to buy an inkjet printer that uses ink cartridges with the print head built-in. If the print head on the cartridge dries out due to lack of use, they simply buy a new ink cartridge and they are back up and printing in no time.

High usage users often find it cheaper to buy an inkjet printer with separate individual ink tank cartridges and separate print head. Then they just buy a new printer when the print head needs to be replaced as it can be expensive to replace the print head after the printer (machine) warranty has expired.
